Justin – What is Meningococcal B And How You Can Prevent Spreading It

I can’t stress enough how important this is,

But you’re probably asking what is Meningococcal B? Well I’m the perfect person to ask! Meningococcal B is an uncommon but serious infection caused by the Bacteria Neisseria Meningitidis. It does serious damage to the body causing  Limb Removal, Brain Damage and Deafness. 

Babies, toddlers under 5 and teens are the most at risk group to be affected by Meningococcal B. If you live in a crowded household or working in a crowded environment you could also be at risk. 

How does it Spread? Meningococcal B transfers through sharing saliva by sharing drinks, food, utensils, kissing and even TOOTHBRUSHES so be warned. Sneezing and Coughing over someone also doesn’t help. 

Now How do we prevent it? We can prevent it by wearing a mask when in public, covering your mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing, Get your own toothbrush and not share food, drink or utensils with anyone!
